Adolescence is the period of rapid growth and development, and brings about various changes in physical parameters which increase the requirement of Nutrients.
- A nutritionally well balanced diet should be consumed.
- Diet must have good quality protein.
- Green Leafy Vegetables, other vegetables and fruits must be consumed in plenty.
- Involve in at least 60 minutes of physical activity.
- Fried and Junk foods must be consumed in moderation.
- They must not skip meals or starve themselves, especially breakfast.
- Do not let them consume excessive salt and sugar.
- Abstain from smoking, chewing tobacco and drinking alcohol.
- Do not use electronic gadgets while enjoying food.
- Do not let them munch on processed and fast foods in excess.
